Sandybridge compute nodes

There are 118 Intel Sandbridge based compute nodes numbered comp100 - comp217 inclusive. Each node contains two 8-core processors running at 2.2 GHz with access to 64 GB of main memory (i.e. 4 GB per core).


Westmere compute nodes

There are 97 Intel Westmere based compute nodes numbered comp518 - comp614 inclusive. Each node contains two 6-core processors running at 2.8 GHz with access to 48 GB of main memory (i.e. 4 GB per core).


Haswell compute nodes (restricted access)

There are four Intel Haswell based compute nodes mumbered comp700 - comp703 inclusive. Each node contains two 12-core processors running at 2.3 GHz with access to 128 GB of main memory.


GPU visualisation nodes

The chadwick cluster contains two graphical processing unit (GPU) nodes for visualisation use labelled visu1 and visu2. Each contains two 6-core Intel Westmere processors running at 1.6 GHz which have access to 94 GB of main memory.


Large Memory Node

The large memory node, as the name suggests, is available for applications which require very large amounts of memory. The node, labelled comp1 has sixteen 8-core Westmere processors running at 2.0 GHz with access to 2 TB of memory.
