qconf -tsm gives a dump of what the scheduler is doing on any particular run. I use it quite often when trying to explain things to the users here.
Run it, wait a minute or so, and then look at $SGE_ROOT/default/common/schedd_runlog

Subject: [GE users] Testing SGE 6.0 scheduler
Is there a way to put the scheduler in 6.0 in
a simulation or test mode? I would like to generate
a list of tasks and jobs that require advanced
reservations and test my share trees and other
configuration parameters to see what provides
the best total system utilization?
Thanks,
Craig
