[ The following text is in the "iso-8859-1" character set. ]

Hi folks,

the subject says it all:

- When starting a special application directly on the command line, e.g.
dc_shell -tcl_mode
the application (textual, no gui) shows up a prompt for the commands to
enter.

- When starting the same application in the grid (5.3p5) on linux
qrsh -V -cwd dc_shell -tcl_mode
the prompt is missing (looks like all output is missing) and after typing
several RETURNs and "quit" you see all the buffered outputs of the prompts
(without newlines). There is no difference with using the -noshell option.

Where does this different behaviour come from ?
How can that be corrected ?

Any hints/help is appreciated.

Thanks

Ulrich
