looks like the distinst script needs some work. Did you take a look at
how the 5.3 package patches that file? It looks like that probably
isn't enough and you'll need to do some more work.

I have not tried out SGE 6.0. As a first step, I'd recommend going through
all of the patches and seeing which ones may still be needed and which ones
have been fixed in the SGE source tree. My guess is it will be obvious
for some and not so obvious for others. You may have to redo some of those
Then log the entire build and dig into all the errors. SGE doesn't have
the nicest build system in the world which makes it somewhat painful to
