h_rt should be > s_rt. You should get the signal when s_rt is reached. More you
can find in man queue_conf. When h_rt is reached, your job will be killed.

But what is the diffenrence? If s_rt is reached, my job will be killed, too. If my job doesn?t handle the signal, it is just killed.
What I mean is the following:
I can make soft and hard requests with my qsub command. So I can request s_rt and h_rt with different values. It would only make sense to request s_rt greater than h_rt (if I unstood the manual right), because the soft requests are maybe not fulfilled in the queue, but the hard requests are essential for the job.
So, what is the influence of the s_rt and h_rt limit values in the queue configuration then? Is there any reason to configure them diffenrently?
