[ The following text is in the "iso-8859-1" character set. ]
[ Your display is set for the "ISO-8859-10" character set. ]
[ Some special characters may be displayed incorrectly. ]

i get 'invalid option arguement -i'

am i using an old version of sge? (SGE 5.3p4)

in the man for qsub there is no mention of an option similar to -i.

There is the option "-i <filename>" for qsub available. If this way it's
also
working, then you could set a global sge_request (maybe for all users by
putting
the request in $SGE_ROOT/default/common/sge_request - more details in man
page
of qsub near the end) with the line:

-i /home/dummy

and put the public available file "dummy" just in /home, readable for all
users.
Of course, no user should use the "-clear" option in his/her submit file (or
a
private .sge_request), because this would reset/ignore the already defined
options.
