[GE users] Newbie questions

The app is written to spawn jobs to each CPU, for however many CPUs are
available (I don't know what mechanism is being used, but I can probably
find out).  Evidently there's more to this than just submitting it on
the engine.  That's what I've got to figure out.

what type of parallelism is built into your application using? Forks or

SGE is supporting the parallel execution of applications inside the
queuing 
system of course, but only if it's already programmed this way in the 
application. It will not give the application the illusion of having one
big 
SMP machine with shared memory across all nodes.
