[GE users] Scalapack issues

I don't think a lot of the users on this list run
SCALAPACK. May be you should try its forum:

Also, I believe (correct me if I am wrong) the ABI for
fortran is not standardized, so if the precompiled
binaries were built with the Sun Fortran compiler,
then you should use the same compiler to build other
things. Otherwise, you should compile everything with
g77.

 * there is no standard fortran runtime interface IIRC
