No, 'ps auxw | grep sge' yields:
gene1:/srv/N1GE/default/spool/qmaster # ps auxw | grep sge
root 18672 0.0 0.0 3056 1492 ? S 10:40 0:00
/srv/N1GE/bin/lx24-x86/sge_schedd
I.e. only the scheduler is hanging, no master daemon.
Yes, I'm sure I have shutdown everything cleanly, incl. the qmaster
daemons (qconf -ks && qconf -km)
Nevertheless I don't exclude the possibilty of config files corruption.
How can I find the corrupt file?
