How did you copy the directory?? You didn;t keep the file permissions

On Unix, the difference between rwxr-xr-x and -rw-r--r-- is that rwxr-xr-x
allows everyone to execute (x) the file... to fix it, you can use "chmod
a+x /usr/local/sge/default/common/rcsge" on the exec hosts. But then there
may be other files that need the execute permission to be on.

The best way to copy a directory is to tar it up, and untar it on the exec

On master host:
% tar -cf default.tar default

Then ship default.tar to the exec hosts, cd to the right directory, and

% tar -vxf default.tar

>On master host
>ls -l /usr/local/sge/default/common/rcsge
>-rwxr-xr-x 1 sgeadmin wheel 16421 21 Jan 10:43
>On exec. host
>ls -l /usr/local/sge/default/common/rcsge
>-rw-r--r-- 1 sgeadmin wheel 16421 21 Jan 10:43
