[GE users] SGE-6.0u3 Only 99 event clients are allowed in the system

The -now n is not the problem.  It's the -sync y that's hitting the 
limit.  qrsh does not register as an event client, but it also doesn't 
have a -sync option.

As Stephan said, it may not be that big of a deal to have 200 
simultaneous event clients.  Raise your limit and see.

As an aside, I see that in your qrsh version of the command, you used 
the -noshell switch.  If you want to do that in qsub, you can use -b y 
-shell n.  Of course, that assumes that your job script does not have 
inline switches, e.g. it's a binary.  See the qsub man page for details.
