Hi Chahn,

Which C-compiler are you using?
I've used the PGI compiler a couple of times and when I forgot to set the
LM_LICENSE_FILE variable it wouldn't compile anything correctly causing
configure to fail with the same message you have "unable to create
executables"
It also looks as though you didn't define the location of BerkeleyDB in
aimk.site. (still points to its default location in /vol/whatever>) Change
that to where your BerkeleyDB resides and edit the file
libs/spool/berkeleydb/sge_bdb.c (line 200) so that DB_RPCCLIENT reads
DB_CLIENT.
This worked for me at least when I had to compile it on a Red Hat
Enterprise Linux system.

Met vriendelijke groeten / Kind regards

Hi Ron,

Sorry to all about the 'overload' in trying to make sure U got all the
info ...

Following your advice, part of my script now looks like this :

####### script ############################

..........

myOptions="-no-java -no-jni -no-secure -no-opt"

./aimk clean
./aimk $myOptions -only-depend
./scripts/zerodepend
./aimk $myOptions depend

./aimk $myOptions -only-core

....................

Nevertheless, it's still the same results (excerpt of logs ...)

################# log ###################
