How do they know where to find the scripts? Currently I have placed
these scripts in /usr/share/sge/bin/lx24-x86/ directory on the master.
Also looking through the how-tos on the SGE webpage I noticed that
there was a File-Staging howto for 6.0 release. The link I was
initially provided was for 5.x I think. I followed this how-to:
http://gridengine.sunsource.net/project/gridengine/howto/filestaging/filestaging6.html
This did not work either. I get the same error message:
03/16/2005 15:19:23|execd|node1|E|shepherd of job 105.1 exited with
exit status = 7
03/16/2005 15:19:23|execd|node1|W|reaping job "105" ptf complains: Job
does not exist

The file is in /working directory.

I undid the changes to /etc/profile.

Thank you for your help so far :-)
