Hi Andrea,

you can use $SGE_ROOT/utilbin/<arch>/spooledit to view and change the
spooling database:

spooledit list J | grep 71572
will give you a list of jobs and array tasks with the given job number,
probably something like
JOB: 71572

spooledit delete <key> deletes an object from the database, in your case
probably
spooledit delete "JOB: 71572"

Copy/paste the key given by spooledit list to the spooledit delete line
- it has to have exactly the same format as given by the list function
(number of space characters).

Can you figure out what type of job it was, how it exited etc.?
This looks like a bug in a function handling terminated jobs.
qacct -j 71572 might give us a hint.

Best regards,

    Joachim
