[GE users] in what case(s) is SGE host_aliases consulted?

Take a look at the routine CheckHostNameResolving() in
the install script:
$SGE_ROOT/util/install_modules/inst_execd.sh

It calls qconf and gethostname, and they should read
the aliases file.
