[GE users] DB_NOSERVER: Fatal error, no RPC server

Hi, Stefan,

Did you try two things:

1) look into your /etc/hosts file and see how it changed from the last time
when the server booted.
In my case I have 2 interfaces and always should remove line with server
name with doman name and leave only 
Line with private IP like:
192.168.104.200 sgeserver 

The rest like 

128.6.xxx.xxx sgeserver.domain.name should be commented out 

2) did you try to clean out directory :  $SGE_ROOT/default/spool/jobs 

If it is not critical and you do not have running jobs simply erase all the
stuff there and try to restart.
