Hi Stefan,

1) is your berkeley_db_rcp server up and running?

2) is you berkeley_db_rpc server registered on your rpcserver? You can 
check this with rpcinfo -p <hostname>. Then there should be a line like 
this:
program vers proto   port  service
351457 4002   tcp  45258
