[GE users] qsub - connection refused

Ron,
You are absolutely correct. :)  It was using /usr/bin/qstat from PBS.  I
installed PBS, but then removed it to use gridengine.  It must not have
removed the files from /usr/bin.  It should be safe to just delete all of
the /usr/bin/q* files that have files with the same name as my SGE bin
directory, shouldn't it?

Do a "which qstat", I am quite sure that you are picking up PBS's qstat
instead of the one in the SGE package.
