[GE users] -sync y option for SGE 6 / 5.3

So I have the source tree ready to go..

Ron, should I be using your diff on 
http://gridengine.sunsource.net/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=dev&msgNo=774
as the patch?

If so I'm running into an issue:
