Hi.

I have configured SGE with 3 queues.

all.q => default queue
shortjobs
longjobs

The intention was that jobs in all.q should suspend jobs in any of the
other queues and jobs in shortjobs should suspend jobs in the longjobs
queue.

I've setup the queueconfiguraion so that:

jk at hal:~/qtest$ qconf -sq all.q | grep subor
subordinate_list shortjobs longjobs
jk at hal:~/qtest$ qconf -sq longjobs | grep subor
subordinate_list NONE
jk at hal:~/qtest$ qconf -sq shortjobs | grep subor
subordinate_list longjobs

But filling up longjobs and dropping a single job in the other queue
doesn't automatically suspend the other jobs. (Allthough it seems like it
does sometimes)

Which other parameters should I look into in order to get this working?

Any other configuration output that would be interested?

Thanks
Jesper
