Hi John,

I have just tried, and get nothing (I am using 6.09u - is this the
problem ?)

The starter method is a perl script with just:

$tempFile = "/home/ct05/calibreHyper.log";
open(LOGFILE,"> $tempFile");
 print LOGFILE "#################################################\n";
 print LOGFILE "INFO: ARGV[0] \"", $ARGV[0], "\"...\n";
 print LOGFILE "INFO: ARGV[1] \"", $ARGV[1], "\"...\n";
 print LOGFILE "INFO: ARGV[2] \"", $ARGV[2], "\"...\n";
 print LOGFILE "INFO: ARGV[3] \"", $ARGV[3], "\"...\n";
 print LOGFILE "INFO: PE_HOSTFILE \"", $PE_HOSTFILE, "\"...\n";
 print LOGFILE "#################################################\n";
close(LOGFILE);

And all I get is:

qsub -q CADTest -pe calibre 4 /home/sgeadm/sge60/examples/jobs/simple.sh
Your job 228355 ("simple.sh") has been submitted

more /home/ct05/calibreHyper.log
#################################################
INFO: ARGV[0] "/var/spool/sge60/camunxgrd10/job_scripts/228355"...
INFO: ARGV[1] ""...
INFO: ARGV[2] ""...
INFO: ARGV[3] ""...
INFO: PE_HOSTFILE ""...

You should look at the file $PE_HOSTFILE

In your job start script, if you look at $PE_HOSTFILE this is an
environment variable which references the file containing the list of
hostnames which have been allocated to the parallel job.
