[GE users] Open MPI tight integration in HOWTO page

Hi,

OK, I see. Then the daemons are not starting for another reason, an
effect of my trying to hack things to allow spmd to start with the
option -spmdfile specifying a local .spmd rather than a shared ~/.spmd

Thanks!

Todd

exactly this is the correct behavior. You should see the daemons in
the process tree from another terminal window. You can use any value
larger than 0 to see some debugging info. Without -d <n> the daemons
would fork into daemons and the prompt would return. But for a Tight
Integration they must stay bound to the shephered.
