hmm I installed rsh-server (which comes with the missing in-rlogind) but
no luck. I also tried /usr/sbin/in.rshd (using redhat) but with no luck.
But why the hell (sorry for my language) does (with the root account)
qrsh work without these programs?

[root at frontend etc]# qrsh -verbose hostname
Your job 158536 ("hostname") has been submitted
waiting for interactive job to be scheduled ...
Your interactive job 158536 has been successfully scheduled.
Establishing /opt/sge/utilbin/lx24-amd64/rsh session to host node21 ...
node21
/opt/sge/utilbin/lx24-amd64/rsh exited with exit code 0
reading exit code from shepherd ... 0

but as a ordinary user:
-sh-3.00$ qrsh -verbose hostname
Your job 158537 ("hostname") has been submitted
waiting for interactive job to be scheduled ...
Your interactive job 158537 has been successfully scheduled.
Establishing /opt/sge/utilbin/lx24-amd64/rsh session to host node17 ...
qrsh_starter: executing child process (null) failed: No such file or
directory
/opt/sge/utilbin/lx24-amd64/rsh exited with exit code 0
reading exit code from shepherd ... 1

BTW: rlogin and rsh doesn't work with any account... But again qrsh
works with root :-/ *wondering*.
