You could just run the jobs using 'qrsh', or is that not an option?

Thinking about this, is there any reason why nohup would not work in
conjunction with qrsh?
Just tested this - it works fine.
nohup qrsh <command>
and outout goes to nohup.out

This is the equivalent of qsub and looking at <jobna,e>.o<jobid> of
course, and using nohup instead of qsub is plain stupid. But it might
help answer the original question.
