If you use 'ldd -v' on the qmon binary, you can see which libraries it is
trying to find.

On my system 
   ldd -v /data/app/sge-6.1u0/bin/lx24-x86/qmon
   libXpm.so.4 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4

Checking with rpm -qf shows that this library is part of the 
  xorg-x11-libs-32bit package.

Try checking for something similar on your system.
