[GE users] Problem with memory limits greater than 4GB

Hi,

if it's a 64-bit machine, you should also use the appropriate  
binaries. But anyway: can you try to set the limits by hand, to see  
whether the ulimit is working correctly in your setup? Can you try to  
let the queue setup as unlimited and request -l h_vmem=8g
