If the JSV script fails, the JSV mechanism (i.e. qsub) just prints:
'Unable to run job: got no response from JSV script "/tmp/jsv_script.sh"'

This error message is insufficient, if the script is run alone, it prints
'jsv_script.sh: /tmp/jsv_logfile.log: cannot create'
which tells us the real error reason. JSV should forward this error message to
stderr.

I found this error by enabling logging and using an existing log file that
belonged to root (permissions 644).
