Hi Andreas/Reuti/Roland,

Could you please let me know if there is such option planned for? Does
it sound appropriate to have one?

Thanks,
Nikhil

Subject: [GE users] Sattr switch to qconf

Hi,

I am using SGE v6.0.11. With it, I always wanted to have some option
like sattr/Sattr to list the attribute of an object like the queue.
$ qconf -help|grep attr
[-aattr obj_nm attr_nm val obj_id_lst] add to a list attribute of
an object
[-Aattr obj_nm fname obj_id_lst] add to a list attribute of
an object [-dattr obj_nm attr_nm val obj_id_lst] delete from a list
attribute of an object
[-Dattr obj_nm fname obj_id_lst] delete from a list attribute
of an object
[-mattr obj_nm attr_nm val obj_id_lst] modify an attribute (or
element in a sublist) of an object
[-Mattr obj_nm fname obj_id_lst] modify an attribute (or
element in a sublist) of an object
   [-mc ] modify complex attributes
   [-Mc fname] modify complex attributes
from file
[-purge obj_nm3 attr_nm objectname] removes attribute from
object_instance
[-rattr obj_nm attr_nm val obj_id_lst] replace a list attribute of
an object
[-Rattr obj_nm fname obj_id_lst] replace a list attribute of
an object
   [-sc ] show complex attributes
[-sobjl obj_nm2 attr_nm val] show objects which match the
given value
attr_nm (see man pages)

For example, if I wanted to see what are the hostgroups for a queue, I
have no option other than to pipe qconf -sq <queuename> to grep
'hostlist', but it would have been good to have the option such that I
could list multiple attributes. I have asked for this option even
before, but would like to know if there is an alternate now or is it
planned for?

Thanks,
Nikhil
