It's the group ID of the user. You can choose any other range you  
like, if you created already users whose group ID is inside this  
suggested range. They mustn't interleave.

classic-spooling means the job information is stored in plain text  
files, which can easily be inspected.

Berkeley database spooling will use binary files with faster access,  
but for small clusters it's sometimes preferred to use classic spooling:
