dear all,

when I'm installing sge 6.2 and in the step that asks for a cluster name i
pressed enter (to use the default name) but an error message appeared:

Enter new cluster name or hit <RETURN>
to use default [p6444] >>
mkdir: cannot create directory `/root': Permission denied

Command failed: mkdir -p /root/home/sun/default/common

Probably a permission problem. Please check file access permissions.
Check read/write permission. Check if SGE daemons are running.

and gets me out of the installation

i repeated the installation and write the default name (p6444) and another
time i entered a new name but in all cased the same error message apears

any advice?

regards,
rafid
