Hi,

Derived Values are values derived from the raw values, or in other words 
aggregate values. So, if you calculate average or sum, then this is the 
derived value. The default derived values are defined in 
$SGE_ROOT/$SGE_CELL/dbwriter/database/<database_type>/dbwriter.xml
