Any chances of getting someone to look at this bug?
It is currently 1444 days old (almost 4 years).
For an outsider, it looks like a relative minor thing to fix -- eg,
check if the tag has a string length before outputting it -- but it
really annoys downstream XML consumers when they get hit with invalid
XML. Tags like '<>' and '</>' simply don't parse very well!
We are currently using 6.2u3, which still has this bug, but I didn't see
any mention of it being fixed in
BTW: for our systems the workaround for the PE wildcard problem that you
suggested (added an extra soft request) seems be working as desired.
