We have the following situation on the host foo:

% hostname
foo.bar.com

% $SGE_ROOT/utilbin/lx24-amd64/gethostbyname foo
Hostname: foo

$ $SGE_ROOT/utilbin/lx24-amd64/gethostname -aname
foo.bar.com

In the auto uninstall configuration file it is defined:

EXEC_HOST_LIST="foo"

If the execd uninstallation is performed on host foo the inst_sge script does not uninstall the execd and it does not report any error. Also
the exit code is 0:

# cd $SGE_ROOT
# ./inst_sge -ux -noremote -auto uninst.conf

Install log can be found in: /opt/sdm/default/common/install_logs/execd_uninstall_foo.bar.com_2009-06-09_16:31:33.log

# echo $?
0

The installation of the execd worked correctly with this hostname setup. I would expect that the uninstall works also under these
conditions. At least the inst_sge must report an error (exit code 1 or 2).

The issue has big impact on the SDM module. The Grid Engine Adapter relies on the exit codes in the inst_sge script.
