[GE users] increasing priority of a submitted job

We are on sge 6.0u8 at this point. In the past users would use qalter -js to increase the priority of a job in queue ahead of other jobs of theirs in queue. This does not seem to work any longer- see below.

If a user has 10 jobs queued and wants one of the queued jobs to run ahead of the other 9, how would that be accomplished? We only use functional tickets, not fairshare.

In the past:

user at cn-r1-3:user$ qstat -ext -s p -u user | grep 5457227
5457227 0.00125 0.00025 du.group.s user NA
defaultdep qw 40 0 0 40
0 0.00

user at cn-r1-3:user$ qalter -js 100 5457227
user at cn-r1-3 sets job share of job 5457227 to 100

user at cn-r1-3:user$ qstat -ext -s p -u user | grep 5457227
5457227 0.00125 0.00025 du.group.s user NA
defaultdep qw 40 0 0 40
0 0.00 1
The user still has the same priority and number of tickets as before the qalter.
