To make things even more interesting, openSUSE 11.1 also has /etc/rc.d/network-remotefs with these LSB entries:
# Provides:             network-remotefs
# Required-Start:       $network $remote_fs haldaemon
# Short-Description:    Configure the remote-fs depending network interfaces

If the normal GridEngine init script simply has $network and $remote_fs as depends, it is possible that the GridEngine start script is 
attempted before the network-remotefs has been executed. In the best case, both network-remotefs and the GridEngine start script land at 
the same SXX- level and alphabetical sorting saves us (maybe).
