qmod -sj <jid> will suspend your job (by sending it a SIGSUSP, just like 
CTRL-Z), but it won't release the slots or complexes. If you're planning 
to do some clever preemption scheme, you have to configure around that 
fact. You might also want to look into subordinate queues.
