I'll just give a brief answer, since my previous answer was too long and my stupid
email web interface timed out on me :(

I isolated the problem to the fact that something like '~/olesenm-xml-qstat-f12d13f' was not expanded,
and thus in your final server it will never find the correct installation.
(The path "~/foo/bar" doesn't resolve to a path in Perl).

The quick fix (if you don't want to grab the last commit):
Define the xml-qstat resource root with an absolute path, or use $ENV{HOME} instead of
"~/", but don't ignore the warning if it claims it can't find that path.

OR look for these lines in the configured httpi

And adjust accordingly.
