This sounds like your environment (eg, LM_LICENSE_FILE) is not correctly
set or is inconsistent. The corresponding param can be set within the
qlicserver.config to avoid this sort of problem.

Dies with no error, or with the sigalarm problem?

Try using a load sensor to activate qlicserver.

Thanks for the info. I didn't specify all the stats on how I am running.  I will look at the load sensor thread but I am using a qlicense.conf file that sets the LM_LICENSE_FILE value. When I run qlicserver, it may run anywhere from 3 min to 4-5 hours and run perfectly, then just die.  For now I just threw a daemon script on another box that just ssh to my sge master and checks to see if the process is running. (qlicserver), if not it will execute it. I will look further in the qloadsensor info.
