Hi,

I'm using SGE6.2u5 with ARCo and dbwriter. The dbwriter will crash around 1 month. It logged:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2894)
java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.expandCapacity(AbstractStringBuilder.java:117)
java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.append(AbstractStringBuilder.java:407)
java.lang.StringBuffer.append(StringBuffer.java:241)
com.sun.grid.reporting.dbwriter.db.Record.getStatementString(Record.java:181)
com.sun.grid.reporting.dbwriter.RecordManager.insertInBatch(RecordManager.java:432)
com.sun.grid.reporting.dbwriter.RecordManager.store(RecordManager.java:228)
com.sun.grid.reporting.dbwriter.HostValueManager.storeNewValue(HostValueManager.java:133)
com.sun.grid.reporting.dbwriter.HostValueManager.handleNewSubRecord(HostValueManager.java:92)
com.sun.grid.reporting.dbwriter.HostManager.initSubRecordsFromEvent(HostManager.java:86)

I have increase the memory for JVM in the script but no use. Before it crashes, the memory usage of the process can reach 700MB. When it is restarted, it will only consume 150MB.

I'm using the default installation of dbwriter and ARCo as the document.

OS: RHEL5 2.6.18-164.6.1.el5
JAVA:java version "1.6.0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b09)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0-b09, mixed mode)
MySQL:mysql-server-5.0.77-4.el5_4.2
JDBC:mysql-connector-java-5.1.10-bin.jar

Can anyone help? Many thanks!

Best regards,

Sinong Fan
