[GE users] Really strange with my users

although hostbased authentication is better inside a private cluster, as you don't need any keys to generate and attach it to the authorized_keys file:

is the protection..

- of the user's home directory not writable by anyone except himself?

- the .ssh has only rwx for the user itself?
