Any clues why when starting sge_execd on a system with 1TB of memory, the daemon starts with 125g of virtual memory allocated?

I am running 6.2u5.

Hers is the relevant line from top:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
  758 grid 15 0 125g 2280 1716 S 0.0 0.0 0:00.01 sge_execd

I don't see behavior like this on any other exec hosts.

Thanks.
