Issue #: 1282 Platform: All Reporter: templedf (templedf) Component: gridengine OS: All Subcomponent: clients Version: 6.0 CC: [_] chaubal [_] Remove selected CCs Status: NEW Priority: P3 Resolution: Issue type: DEFECT Target milestone: --- Assigned to: andreas (andreas) QA Contact: roland URL: * Summary: QCONF: qconf -dattr queue slots <val> <queue>@<host> doesn't work Status whiteboard: Attachments: Issue 1282 blocks: [DEL: 1208 :DEL] 1208 Votes for issue 1282: Opened: Wed Sep 29 04:14:00 -0700 2004 ------------------------ qconf -dattr queue slots 2 vast@ic001 will not remove the slots attribute from ic001: [reuti@icompile common]$ qconf -dattr queue slots 2 vast@ic001 reuti@icompile modified "vast" in cluster queue list [reuti@icompile common]$ qconf -sq vast ... slots 1,[ic001=2] ... qconf -dattr queue slots '[ic001=2]' vast also does not work. However, qconf -mattr queue slots 5 vast@ic001 will change the slots value for ic001. This bug was originally noted as a comment on Issue 1173. ------- Additional comments from templedf Thu Sep 30 04:01:57 -0700 2004 ------- Submitted against the wrong version. Corrected. ------- Additional comments from templedf Fri Oct 8 01:39:58 -0700 2004 ------- I am taking this over. I probably won't get around to fixing it for a couple of weeks, though. ------- Additional comments from templedf Tue Oct 26 08:58:00 -0700 2004 ------- It looks like this bug will not be fixed in 6.0u2. ------- Additional comments from andreas Fri Feb 4 04:51:27 -0700 2005 ------- Raised priority. ------- Additional comments from andreas Mon Feb 7 04:58:41 -0700 2005 ------- To prevent -dattr semantics be overloaded the case qconf -mattr queue slots 5 vast@ic001 should be generally rejected. The desired removal of host/hostgroup specific values will be doable with "qconf -purge" as described with #1453. Lowering priority. ------- Additional comments from templedf Fri Nov 11 18:03:10 -0700 2005 ------- This problem also applies to "qconf -dattr queue slots <val> <cqueue>" ------- Additional comments from sgrell Tue Dec 6 08:19:00 -0700 2005 ------- Changed the Subcomponent.
