Some GE libs doesn't free the thread specific memory
use at shutdown (e.g. cullib)

The pthread_once() - destructor function seems not
to work correct or is not implemented in the right

This is a shutdown problem which doesn't affect a
daemon, but allocated memory should always be freed at
shutdown of an application.
