Issue #: 2256 Platform: All Reporter: templedf (templedf) Component: gridengine OS: All Subcomponent: kernel Version: 6.1 CC: None defined Status: NEW Priority: P4 Resolution: Issue type: DEFECT Target milestone: --- Assigned to: andreas (andreas) QA Contact: andreas URL: * Summary: global shell_start_mode is ignored Status whiteboard: Attachments: Issue 2256 blocks: Votes for issue 2256: Opened: Mon May 21 15:23:00 -0700 2007 ------------------------ The global shell_start_mode attribute is ignored. This global attribute is overridden by the queue shell_start_mode if present and not set to NONE. The problem is that the queue shell_start_mode is a required attribute that is not allowed to have the value, NONE. The net result is that even though the global shell_start_mode attribute can be set, it is always ignored. The global shell_start_mode attribute should be removed and the docs should be updated. ------- Additional comments from joga Tue Jun 16 05:23:27 -0700 2009 ------- lowering priority - it cannot cause any misbehaviour, as shell_start_mode is a forced attribute of the queue.
