Issue #: 3030 Platform: Sun Reporter: petrik (petrik) Component: gridengine OS: All Subcomponent: clients Version: 6.2u3beta CC: None defined Status: NEW Priority: P3 Resolution: Issue type: ENHANCEMENT Target milestone: --- Assigned to: roland (roland) QA Contact: roland URL: * Summary: gui-installer: validation should detect a case when binaries are missing for host arch Status whiteboard: Attachments: Issue 3030 blocks: Votes for issue 3030: Opened: Thu May 14 03:16:00 -0700 2009 ------------------------ When gui-installer resolves a host architecure as sol-amd64 for example. It could also check during a validation that $SGE_ROOT/bin/$ARCH and $SGE_ROOT/utilbin/$ARCH are available. It can happen that we expected the host to have a different architecture and did not unpack binaries for this platform. The validation process currently reports that "admin user is missing", which is not true. The utilbin/sol-amd64/uidgid used for checking the admin user is not there in this case.
