Issue #: 3073 Platform: Sun Reporter: rhierlmeier (rhierlmeier) Component: gridengine OS: Solaris Subcomponent: install Version: 6.2u3 CC: None defined Status: NEW Priority: P2 Resolution: Issue type: DEFECT Target milestone: --- Assigned to: dom (dom) QA Contact: dom URL: * Summary: execd does not start if env variable SMF_FMRI is set Status whiteboard: Attachments: Issue 3073 blocks: Votes for issue 3073: Opened: Thu Jul 2 00:49:00 -0700 2009 ------------------------ If in the environment the variable SMF_FMRI is set the $SGE_ROOT/$SGE_CELL/sgeexecd startup script fails with the following error message: Error: svc:/application/sge/execd:p6444 does not match FMRI svc:/application/management/sdm/sdm1/cs_vm:default provided by SMF! The bug is problematic for the Service Domain Manager. If the jvms has been started via SMF, the environment variable SMF_FMRI contains the service fault management resource identifier of the SDM process. If the Grid Engine Adapter tries to install an execd via the executor which is running inside of such a jvm, it fails.
