Hi,

with enabled server side jsv, gridengine 6.2u5 does not accept comma signs in the job argument list. Example:

[caesar-vm10] ~ % qsub /tmp/bla 24,7
Unable to run job: master got unknown command from JSV: "ERROR".
Exiting.

Without it, everything works fine:

[caesar-vm10] ~ % qsub /tmp/bla 24
Your job 7 ("bla") has been submitted

Cheers,
Andreas

Maybe it depends on the language used for the JSV. For a bash script I don't get an error:

$ qsub test.sh 24,7
Your job 1225 ("test.sh") has been submitted

mine is written in Perl. I've attached it.

So it's an issue of the Perl implementation.

BTW: There is a difference between lower case (base 1000) and upper case (base 1024) in SGE (`man sge_types`).
