Issue #: 45 Platform: Sun Reporter: zsiga (zsiga) Component: nbgui OS: All Subcomponent: sdm Version: 6.2u5 CC: None defined Status: NEW Priority: P3 Resolution: Issue type: TASK Target milestone: 6.2u6 Assigned to: afisch (afisch) QA Contact: easymf URL: * Summary: It's possible to add cloud adapter only if a Services node is selected Status whiteboard: Attachments: Issue 45 blocks: Votes for issue 45: Vote for this issue Opened: Thu Dec 3 09:22:00 -0700 2009 ------------------------ Description: New Cloud Adapter actions (basic and advanced) are only enabled if a Services node is selected in Navigator Window. Adding new adapter should be possible also if a host *and* a jvm are selected: - when a jvm is selected on Host-JVMs-(Component|Services) view - when a host is selected on JVM-Host-(Component|Services) view Evaluation: Minor restriction. Work Around: Select a Services node to add a new cloud adapter. How to test: try the following scenarios and check whether the New Cloud Adapter actions are enabled: - Select a jvm on Host-JVMs-(Component|Services) view - Select a host on JVM-Host-(Component|Services) view ------- Additional comments from afisch Thu Dec 3 10:22:01 -0700 2009 ------- The restriction for adding a cloud adapter to the "services" node only has been done on purpose. Idea: "services" node is parent of all services and therefore an intuitive location for a "new Service" action. Doc is changed accordingly. However it is correct that selecting host and JVM would be sufficient allow adding. ------- Additional comments from zsiga Mon Dec 14 03:58:12 -0700 2009 ------- Change milestone to 62u6.
