This was IZ 1511 in project gridengine.

On Linux, the FD_SETSIZE is limited to 1024 as default.
To allow higher number of commlib clients on Linux, we patch the system headers
(increase FS_SETSIZE).
See also Gridengine IZ 1502.

The testsuite test bugs/issuezilla/1502 tests that FD_SETSIZE was patched to >
1024, but does not yet test if this new limit is actually working.

From project gridengine IZ 1511:
added script:
testsuite/scripts/start_qmon_flood.csh

This script will start "virtual qmons" to raise up used file descriptors
at qmaster side. It should be tested that the qmaster can handle more
than 1024 file descriptors on linux systems.
